Yes, “big P purpose” or “small p purpose portfolio”? I love this, Ray.

I’m inclined toward yes-and, stubbornly unwilling to give up the pursuit of what Carl Jung (via James Hollis) refers to as that toward which our soul calls us — that for which each one of us is uniquely created — with both a push from behind and a pull forward.

Perhaps Big P can thus begin with what Baja MEA compadre and Santa Fe MEA faculty member Brett Pyle refers to as “your extraordinary why,” that undercurrent of unique skill-meets-motivation that provides the through line of our most meaningful endeavors.

Here’s to second-half insights and awakenings!

I love this Ray. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and your poem. I think this is what I've been doing in this second half of my life - after illness, divorce, and a change in my profession - but I didn't have the understanding or framework to articulate how I arrived at living my purpose. You explained it perfectly here. Thank you! I hope you're doing well and hope to see you at WG next year!

Thanks Kendal! Our chat back at WG ‘24 was one of those that helped me understand the purpose framework. Hope you’re doing well!
