Yes, “big P purpose” or “small p purpose portfolio”? I love this, Ray.
I’m inclined toward yes-and, stubbornly unwilling to give up the pursuit of what Carl Jung (via James Hollis) refers to as that toward which our soul calls us — that for which each one of us is uniquely created — with both a push from behind and a pull forward.
Perhaps Big P can thus begin with what Baja MEA compadre and Santa Fe MEA faculty member Brett Pyle refers to as “your extraordinary why,” that undercurrent of unique skill-meets-motivation that provides the through line of our most meaningful endeavors.
I love this Ray. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and your poem. I think this is what I've been doing in this second half of my life - after illness, divorce, and a change in my profession - but I didn't have the understanding or framework to articulate how I arrived at living my purpose. You explained it perfectly here. Thank you! I hope you're doing well and hope to see you at WG next year!
Thanks Kendal! You’re one of the people who helped me figure out the framework! I still remember our WG chat from ‘24. Hope you’re doing well living your purpose!

Here’s to second-half insights and awakenings!
Love this Denny! Push from behind and a pull forward. Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks Kendal! Our chat back at WG ‘24 was one of those that helped me understand the purpose framework. Hope you’re doing well!

I would really like to reconnect over a beer sometime.
Absolutely Tom!
